It's come to my attention you both would experience a momentous benefit from what many, including the ancients, identify as a "language of diplomacy." To unearth the background of this idea know that the "Aramaic" language, derived from ancient "Akkadian," was just such a language as used for the aforementioned purpose.
Know that Akkadian is a reference to the language dating to the first known Semitic invaders of Mesopotamia, identified with their capital city of Akkad/Accad. Akkadian is the ancient language used in the cunieform inscriptions and documents as discovered by modern archaeologists. Akkadian is typically classified as "East Semitic" to distinguish it from Northwest Semitic (Amorite, Ugaritic, Hebrew, etc.) and Southwest Semitic (Arabic, Ethiopic).
Again, For the sake of our current context, Akkadian was the international language of diplomacy. It, and the Aramaic language which replaced it from roughly 600 BC and onward, was the language used to bring cultures together in their communication and, hence, to prompt diplomacy.

you're thinking too literally, as always. The analogy is meant to promulgate the suggestion that you and Mr. Rev formulate some sort of
"Akkadian" language of "diplomacy"
of your own. That way you can understand one another. The obvious example is your misunderstanding(s) of what a true coaster "Trip" should entail. In Reverend's mind, going across town and navigating some sort of flume contraption will suffice. According to your cognition, however, this simply will not do. Reverend must advance across some geographical "borders" and experience some "real" (or even a sundry of) coasters. This is what YOU mean by "trip."
Can you see how your language, itself, has become a hindrance to communication, and thus, to reconciliation?
AA, Mr. Reverend doesn't know what you mean by "trip" or even "real" in the context of "real" rides. Defining, or redefining your language into middle ground terms for the sake of "correspondance" will foster all new understandings through "walls" previously deemed impregnable. That's what I mean by working out your own "language of diplomacy." It was beneficial in ancient times and will work for you in our time.
